There is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease yet. However, with the right care and support, it is possible for someone with Alzheimer's to live as well as possible for as long as possible.

There is currently no cure for DLB. The person’s care and treatment should support them to live as well as possible. This should include drug and non-drug treatments.

Non-drug approaches that should always be tried first.

Antipsychotic drugs may be prescribed for people with dementia who develop changes such as aggression and psychosis. However this is usually only after other drugs have been tried such as anti-depressant, anti-dementia and anticonvulsant drugs.
