Dementia doesn't wait. Neither should diagnosis. We're demanding that everyone with dementia receives an accurate diagnosis, a care plan and access to appropriate treatment within 18 weeks of GP referral.  

This ambition, or better, is already in place for other major health conditions. Dementia should be no different.

Campaigning matters to me as a carer because it allows me to turn personal experience into change to improve life for people living with dementia and their families. 

I understand the challenges that many people and decision-makers may not directly experience, such as stress, exhaustion and the massive gaps in social care. I get involved because I feel that I can contribute to wider systemic change.
