Alzheimer’s Society Accelerator invests up to £100,000 and provides business support to help dementia products get to market and transform the lives of people affected by dementia

What could you do with up to £100k of funding?
Do you have a business that will transform the lives of people living with dementia?
You may be developing a product or service that makes everyday life easier for people living with dementia. You may be using innovative technologies to tackle challenges across prevention, diagnosis, treatment or care. Or you could be adapting an existing solution to create a meaningful impact in the dementia space.
To help accelerate your business, our programme offers a 12-month partnership including:
- Up to £100K of funding*
- Expert innovation and dementia support for 12 months
- Peer-to-peer learning through our Innovation Collective
- Opportunities to co-create with people affected by dementia
- Support throughout the application process.
*We look for a return on investment, the terms of which we'll negotiate if you're successful. This could include a percentage return on product revenue, equity investment or another mechanism depending on various factors.

Who can apply to the Accelerator Programme?
We are looking for applications from early-stage businesses developing innovations with the potential to transform the lives of people affected by dementia. We expect applicants to be able to demonstrate proof of concept and early product traction.
We are looking for both digital and physical solutions that address challenges across prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care, helping to improve outcomes for people affected by dementia and the systems that support them.
To be eligible you need to:
- be 18 years or older
- have a registered business in the UK
- have an innovation that is being developed and/or deployed in the UK
- have a detailed business plan (as detailed in the application form)
- have a prototype at TRL 6/7 (Link for more details)
- be aware that we will look for a return on the investment provided.
Punto Health is an AI-powered cognitive care platform that supports people living with dementia, their families and healthcare professionals. Through personalised care plans, ongoing monitoring and digital support, it aims to improve post-diagnostic support and help people live independently for longer.
DentaBlue is developing a soft oral care gummy designed for people living with dementia and older adults who find traditional toothbrushing or mouthwash difficult. The innovation aims to support oral comfort, dignity and wellbeing when conventional oral care becomes challenging.
Circadacare combines circadian lighting technology with AI-powered monitoring to support people living with dementia to remain independent for longer. The technology aims to improve wellbeing, reduce falls, support healthier sleep patterns and help identify changes in behaviour that may require support.
6D Dementia Training provides evidence-based digital training for health and social care professionals, organisations and family carers. Using a psychologically informed approach, it helps people better understand and respond to dementia-related distress, supporting more compassionate, consistent and person-centred care.
