New innovators partner with Alzheimer’s Society to transform dementia
Alzheimer’s Society supports and invests in innovations to transform the lives of people affected by dementia. This week, we were delighted to welcome new innovators to our award-winning innovation programme.
The Launchpad and Accelerator programmes support innovative products and solutions that address the challenges that come with living with dementia.
Ideas often come from the frontline – from healthcare professionals and from loved ones, as well as researchers and tech start-ups, who identify an opportunity to make things better for people affected by dementia.
Our support for innovation
- The Accelerator programme provides investment and business support over 12 months for transformative dementia innovations, helping them to develop and reach people affected by dementia faster.
- The Launchpad programme is a six-month incubator programme that helps entrepreneurs to develop, validate and pitch their dementia innovation ideas to help them secure follow-on investment.
Michelle Dyson CB, Alzheimer’s Society Chief Executive Officer, said:
'At Alzheimer’s Society, we’re committed to driving forward innovation that transforms lives.
Some of the most powerful ideas come directly from people living with dementia, alongside the entrepreneurs, tech specialists and academics helping to shape new possibilities.
By working with innovators who share that passion, knowledge and drive, we can turn those ideas into real impact. We’re excited to support this new group as they develop solutions that will truly make a difference.'
